Want to become a Skim Invasion Event Director?

Skim Invasion will be expanding two to three events per year. With all these events becomes a need to train a new class of Skim Invasion Directors.
What’s it take to become a director?
- A deep knowledge of skimboarding. At least five years of advanced skimboarding. Contest Directors should already understand skimboarding tricks in terms of difficulty. Contest Directors should understand the basics of judging. Skim Invasion will reteach you how judging works since Skim Invasion does it different.
- Someone use to traveling. Directors will be sent all over the country or the region.
- Great people skills. Directors will encounter a lot of situations where staying calm and understand with contestants.
How the training process works?
- Working under Frank Hastings or Jesse Lash for one year.
Where are we looking for directors?
- All over Florida
- Northern California
- Northeast (Jersey, Rhodes Island, and Massachusetts)
This obviously is not some full time job. It would require two or three weekends per year depending on what region you work in. Skim Invasion will always take care of all the other jobs pertaining to holding events. An event director is just someone who actually runs the event. Becoming an event director would require one year of training under Frank Hastings. Skim Invasion covers all travel costs to certified event directors and this does pay.
