The Navarre Skim Invasion is in the books. Quinton Good won his first professional event representing the locals. The conditions were not that great with a constant size of knee high break. The contest also featured a dominate double digit victory by Anthony Cox in JR Mens. Write ups, video coverage and photos coming soon. Paulo Prietto’s Sessions is on PRE ORDER

A really unique concept, which was announced about a year ago is hitting the pre-order stage. Paulo Prietto’s Sessions started pre-ordering last week and the expected release is this Saturday October 9th. The DVD is not the normal skimboarding DVD but it contains a lot of action and primarily instructional information every skimboarder should know. And it’s not just wave riding it contains flatland skimboarding instruction also by a lot of the Dashboard guys. The instruction is headed by Paulo Prietto and others working with Solag Skim School. Filmed in 5 different locations with tons of footage of the best skimboarders including: Paulo Prietto, Brad Domke, Jake Stinnett, Hunter Poller, Steve Taylor, Woody Harris, Morgan Just, Brendan Stevens, Harley Nelson, Matthieu Thibaud, Jason Wilson, Corey Hanks, Keith Fowler, Lexi Hutchings, Isaac Thomas, Logan Davidson, Richard Docter, Blake Zimmerman and much moreThe film has been worked on by media guros such as Derek Makekau and Matt Adams. Bill Bryan caps the season with a win at Oktoberfest

Yeah, last week it was announced that Bill Bryan had won the 2010 United Skim Tour…and well he capped that off with winning the last event at the United Skim Tour being Oktoberfest. Congrats to Bill and the UST on knocking out another great season.

United Skim Tour and Exile Skimboards both pass 1 Million Views on You Tube

As we reported a few weeks ago that United Skim Tour You Tube channel was about to pass 1 million views. And we thought that was huge but Exile actually did it awhile ago. These are milestones are pretty huge for the sport when looking at the viewership under the two top media houses on You Tube. Exile Skimboards is always leading media to new levels in skimboarding and here’s another thing to add to that list of milestones.

Yes ladies and gentlemen it’s that time…next weekend is the Navarre Skim Invasion. It’s the event that birthed (yes) Skim Invasion. Going to be a grand event as usual located at the Navarre Pier in Navarre, Florida with check ins starting at 8:00 AM. Refugee Board Sports will be providing free food and drinks all weekend. There will be an epic clean up from United by Blue on Sunday afternoon and great prizes (Waterboyz, Exile, Victoria, Freak, Apex, Color, RDS and more) and funness (yes).

Bill Bryan wins the 2010 UST

From the UST:
After yet another win in Santa Cruz, Bill Bryan has won the 2010 UST Tour. Now in his late 30′s Bill continues to prove that he is the man to beat. This year’s victory is a continuation of competitive dominance that began in the late 1980′s, before many of his current competitors were born. It is legacy that matches if not exceeds that of any other professional athlete, anywhere. And after this year’s performance winning all but two of the events he entered, who could argue that Bill is still the best? Congratulations to Bill on yet another stellar performance!
And boy is that true. Bill Bryan can add to his count of being World Champion to now 14 times . That includes 11 Victoria World Championships (before UST) and three UST titles.

For those confused about how Bill Bryan won before the season ended…here is the explantion from UST President Aaron Peluso:
Tabulation is best 6 of 8. Right now Bill is dropping a high placing event, 800+ points…If he doesn’t show up to Oktoberfest, his point tally will go up by that 800+ points.

Brad Domke takes 2010 Skim USA Tour – Final Standings

Brad Domke can notch another achievement under his belt and it’s the 2010 Skim USA Tour champion. Morgan Just finished second following with Alex Hood to round out the top three. Zap Skimboards team took the tour with 15,003 points beating Exile with 3,774 points. Skim USA season is over but there’s still three big professional events left with O’Neill Surf Shop Skimbash (Sep 18/19), Oktoberfest (October 2/3), and Navarre Skim Invasion (October 9/10).
